There's this picture floating around Twitter. It's a short "comic" that shows a woman walking around being mean to people and in the end she goes to church and prays. The caption says something along the lines of "Being a dedicated Christian doesn't make you good person. It's your actions that represent whether you are a good or bad person." I think this comic has a very good point. A lot of people think that just because they are Christian and go to church every Sunday, it automatically makes them a good person. So what? So what if you don't swear, don't talk about profanity, and follow the Ten Commandments? That's all good and great but, BUT, if you go around being racist, sexist, and discriminate, you are not a good person. Things like this really get under my skin.
Another thing that gets me is when people act like they have an obligation to know every little detail in your life. If my dog passes away I'm not going to immediately call you and tell you. If I get a boyfriend, you are not the first person that pops into my mind. You do not have a right to say "Why didn't you tell me?" I didn't tell you because you were irrelevant. I was eventually going to tell you, or you were going to find out somehow but don't act like you need to know the moment it happens.
...And that concludes my Daily Rant.
